2008 Preservation Awards

Each year Preservation Maryland offers the highest recognition of individuals, groups and organizations active in the preservation, restoration, and/or rehabilitation of the state's historic and cultural resources.  The awards will be presented at the annual meeting of the membership which will be held in November at the Maryland Club in Baltimore.

ACHP Announces 2009 Preserve America Presidential Awards

The Advisory Council on Historic Preservation is accepting nominations for exemplary heritage tourism and historic preservation programs and projects that meet 2009 Preserve America Presidential Award criteria. Nominations must be postmarked no later than November 1, 2008. Additional information, as well as a downloadable nomination form, instructions, and details about previous winners, can be found at www.preserveamerica.gov.

Preservation Maryland Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony
The Maryland Club, Baltimore

The 2008 Annual Meeting will be held again at the historic Maryland Club in Baltimore. Pratt W Cassity, Jr will be the keynote speaker Mr. Cassity, director of the Center for Community Design, Planning and Preservation in the College of Environment and Design at Unviersity of Georgie, is a nationally respected expert in historic preservation and community planning. In addition to the annual meeting and reception, Preservation Maryland will present the 2008 Preservation Awards to deserving individuals, private preservation or civic groups, and governmental agencies that have made important contributions to preservation efforts within the state of Maryland.
