Preservation Maryland is the state's oldest historic preservation organization. Founded in 1931 as the Society for the Preservation of Maryland Antiquities, Preservation Maryland is dedicated to preserving Maryland's historic buildings, neighborhoods, landscapes, and archaeological sites through outreach, funding, and advocacy.History

Each year Preservation Maryland offers the highest recognition of individuals, groups and organizations active in the preservation, restoration, and/or rehabilitation of the state's historic and cultural resources. The awards will be presented at the annual meeting of the membership which will be held in November at the Maryland Club in Baltimore.
